My friend got me this game because it was on sale with the Steam Summer Sale. I thought it would fun to record my first time playing it. This what came out.
A Hat in Time
Today, I just found out about this future game that looks awesome. A Hat in Time is a 3D platformer that takes a lot of inspiration from Old Nintendo 64 games like Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, and Banjo Kazooie. I discovered this game too late, it was a KickStarter and it was only asking for $30,000, it reached $296,360. I would of loved donating some money to this game and get a copy when it comes out. I’ve been look for a game like this for a long time. Seeing the gameplay, gets me even more hyped. It really looks like a beautiful game and amazing gameplay. With them reaching $296,360, the game is going be a big game, lasting from 10 to 20 hours. They even got Grant Kirkhope to do the music, he’s the guy who did the music for Banjo Kazooie. There will be Co-op too, which more 3D platformers need to have. The Co-op is the right type of Co-op where the characters don’t share a screen, it will have online co-op for PC, and split-screen for consoles(if they get there). They also want to release “A Hat in Time” for the Wii U, but they can’t promise that. I really hope this gets released on Wii U because Wii U needs more games like this.

I’m just really really hyped for the game. A Hat in Time is bringing back my childhood. The last good collect-a-thon I played was Psychonauts, most of it was good. That game brought back some good memories. Like I said before, the world needs more games like this. It is still currently in Steam Greenlight. Free Game: Celestial Mechanica
I like to play games a lot, but I don’t have a lot of money. That’s where free games come in. Free games can give hours of entertainment for the low low price of FREE. Most free games on the PC are college projects or a Free2Play MMO. Not all of them are “good”. But there are many out there that are darn well close to prefect. I would like to share some with you, time to time.
Celestial Mechanica
This game is a collaboration between Roger Hicks (rComplex) and Paul Veer (animator of Super Crate Box). From what I understand, this game was released on steam for a price, but now it’s FREE.
I would classify this game as a Metroidvania game. A 2D action-adventure, where you get a big world to explore, and parts are cut off until you get the right gear. I don’t want to give too much of the story.. The king kicked you out of the flying castle, you have to go back and teach him a lesson. The game has nice retro graphics that look amazing. Like most good games, Celestial Mechanica has great music that sets the tone.

Game of the Year 2011
The Game of the Year is Minecraft. The game can be prefect, the only limitation is the imagination of the players. The game doesn’t end, you can spend hours on something, then you find something else to spend more hours. The game will still get better.
Minecraft is the game I played the most this year. This is the only game I recorded a let’s play for. I can spend many hours on this game. It made me a bigger pc gamer and I learned many things about computers, modding Minecraft.

I was gonna give the Game of the Year award to Zelda or Portal 2 but Minecraft has endless potential.

Jables’s Adventure
Many indie games don’t get get my attention but the ones that do, are awesome. Jables’s Adventure is a platformer, like Cave Story. This game is a short play-through but is really funny and the graphics are charming. Jables’s Adventure is real challenging, I even had to cheat at a part but I’ll try to beat it later. The challenge might add anther 3 hours for me.
Jables’s Adventure is really weird too. It starts out with Jables waking up and there is a squalid on his head named Squalidric. Squalidric calls Jables a hero and he just goes with it. Jables goes on a weird and funny adventure. It’s a greate game.(my bad writing).

I got an Xbox 360 Controller

Well, for my birthday I got a wired Xbox 360 controller. I wanted one because I can use it on the Xbox 360 and most PC games work really well with it. The game James Cameron’s Avater works perfectly with the controller, I had a lot of fun using it. With the controller, I thought I could finally play Transformers: War for Cybertron but the game won’t even start up any more (uggh). I’m also pretty sure if I played around with some settings, I can get the controller to work with Minecraft. All in all, I think it’s really good to have.
