Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (Nintendo 64)

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron is Sci-fi flight simulator. You play as Luke in a spaceship and he’s with a rebel pilot squadron fight, called Rogue Squadron. They embark on missions to fight the Empire.

I’m not a fan of these types of games but I had fun with it. I like shooting down the enemy ships, it gives me a feeling of accomplishment. My favorite part of the game are the cheats; the cheats can change the V-Wing(a ship) into a flying car! The cheats are the reasons I bought the game.

Like I said, I’m not a fan of these types of games. So, most of my complaints are my problems, not the game’s. It would of been nice if you could restart the mission from the last check point, if you failed it.

I recommend this game to Star Wars fans, who also play spaceship shooters.

My History With Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars: Battlefront

Image via Wikipedia

My story starts a long time ago, not really but I can’t remember when. Me and some friends were on a “camping” trip(we had a trailer with electricity), we were awake late at night just playing games, then we got bored and just started to look at demos on a PlayStation 2 demo disc. The problem was the demos were only 1 player(there were 4 of us) but we started the Star Wars Battlefront demo. The demo was 2 players, we were excited about that. The demo was only 1 battle but we kept on taking turns and just be playing that 1 battle over and over again. I can’t remember but I’m pretty sure we played for hours, it was so much fun. After that I didn’t buy or play Star Wars Battlefront, I should of.

Not until Star Wars Episode 3, Star Wars Battlefront came in my life again. At that time, I was becoming a huge Star Wars fan. Me and my friends got excited for Star Wars  Battlefront 2, my friends got it for the PlayStation 2 and I would go to their house to play. My friends also got it for the PSP too.

Now I got Star Wars Battlefront 2 on my PC, I play online now. Star Wars Battlefront was probably the game that got me into Third-Person and First-Person Shooters.

They need to make Star Wars Battlefront 3!!!

Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion (3DS)

Okay, I’m just going do a pro vs. con review of Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion.

Pros:

Fighting Style

This is my favorite type of fighting, Plateform-Fighting. After you learn the controls, this game plays really well.

Characters

You get to play as Cartoon Network Characters, some of the them, you remember as your favorite and some of them, you hate them.

Adventure Mode

The adventure mode feels like a 90’s cartoon(a good thing) with some of the jokes they put in there and nice level design with some of the level.

Cons:

No Wi-Fi

They should of added wi-fi because the chances of you knowing someone with the game is low and right now, even a 3DS

Frustrating

There are a lot of levels in the game that are just unfair, like when you respawn, you can just be thrown of the stage right away or being spam attacked by an enemy.

Unlocking Characters

You can unlock characters by playing through adventure mode or playing a lot of free battles. If you unlock characters though adventure mode, you can’t play with them in battle mode, you would have to play 75 matches to unlock all the characters.

Too Gimmicky

When I played the game, it just seemed so gimmicky, and it seemed there was hardly any strategy but eh that could just me.

What I recommend you play the game first or just wait until more details of the consoles versions.

Thanks for watching.

Battalion Wars 2

I recently got Battalion Wars 2. I always wanted but thing kept me from playing it. I would have to say this one for the best game on. It’s a strategy game where you are also part of the action. You can take control of any unit.

You can also play online with a friend or anyone. I still need more practice before I go online.

I think Nintendo should put a sequel on the next Nintendo console because if they are going for gamers, this will be a good game for it.
