Top 5 Video Games to Play in a Waiting Room

Waiting in a waiting room sucks. We all have our own way to pass the time. Lot of us read a magazine or a book. Sometimes we listen to our favorite songs. But lot of gamers pop out their Smart phone or Nintendo DS to play a quick game that can last ten minutes to 45 minutes.

These are my games to play in a waiting room!

5. Minecraft: Pocket Edition

One of the most popular PC and Xbox 360 games in the palm of your hand; what can get better than that? Minecraft: Pocket Edition offers the player a mini-version of Minecraft. It has both creative and survival. It has a lot smaller world and less items but there is still plenty of things you can do, which makes it prefect for waiting in a waiting room. You can use the time to build a giant castle or kill hundreds of creepers.

4. Any kind of 2D platformer.

I couldn’t decide what 2D platformer was my favorites. There are tons of good ones for the Gameboy, Nintendo DS, and smart phones; like Mario, and Kirby. You can beat many levels within your waiting time and still have tons to go. They are additive and a good time waster. My favorite one for Android is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orangepixel.stardash

3. WarioWare Series

All of the portable WarioWare games are great fun. You select a character, and you play the character’s “microgames”. They have tons of microgames, you will find time just flying by when playing WarioWare. My favorite one is WarioWare: Twisted for the Gameboy Advance. You might look weird playing it, but it’s super fun.

2. Pokemon

I want to be the very best like no one ever was DUN DUN DUNDUN

You will want to wait longer while playing this…

1. Tetris

At any time that I’m waiting, I pop out my smart phone and start playing Tetris. Everybody loves Tetris. There is no better game to play in waiting room than Tetris.

What are your favorite games to play while waiting in a waiting room?

Pokemon Black & White 2

Pokemon Black and White 2 was announced yesterday evening. It was a big shocker that it’s Pokemon Black and White 2 and not Pokemon Grey or even Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire remake. Not much is known about it yet, but it is for the Nintendo DS and it looks like Zekrom and Reshiram is fused with Kyurem. I don’t like that it is not for the 3DS, this could of been a good excuse to move Pokemon Black and White to the 3DS.

I predict that it will have a new battle frontier and the story will be mostly the same but with maybe 2 or 3 changes.

I’m Currently Playing Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol

Chibi Robo! Park Patrol boxart

Image via Wikipedia

I completely forgot about my To Do list because I’m playing Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol for the DS. I played last night for a little bit then all day today. I took little breaks to play Minecraft and Team Fortress 2 but just little ones.

The game is an Adventure game but it has attributes of the Tycoon game series. You play as Chibi-Robo as you save a city park from pollution. You plant flowers to grow grass to make the park look nicer but you will have truble along the way. I’m not do the game justice with my writing, Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol is fun.

I got Chibi-Robo for the GameCube when I went on a shopping vacation when I was younger. I didn’t know anything about the game but It was a Robot and the game was made by Nintendo. I loved it… I wasn’t really paying attention to Park Patrol; I only knew that there was a Chibi-Robo game coming to the DS, that’s it. One day, I wanted it for the DS and I went to Wal-Mart to try to find… It turns you can only get it at Wal-Mart, I guess I was just lucky(That’s how I remember it). There is a third game out in Japan and It seems it’s not coming to the US, it might be my first import game. 🙂

Getting Back to Pokemon, part 2

Today, I got all 3 of the beasts or whatever they are(Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion), I didn’t use them in battle yet. I also got a Woobat to evolve into a Swoobat, it’s currently level 55. I am now training up a Larvesta into a Volcarona, it’s pretty close to evolving.

I’m trying to create a team with no ubers, and just pokemon from the Unova region. It won’t be that good when I first get all of them, I would need to do more training with them.

Goldeneye 007 (DS)

Goldeneye 007 is a retelling of the movie and game, Goldeneye 007 for the Nintendo 64. The game has been released on both Nintendo‘s platforms, Wii and DS. The game is a first-person shooter for both platforms.

I say the DS game is pretty fun. There are three modes, story, muitlplayer, and Nintendo WFC (Online). The story was fun to play because I liked to go around stealth like and take out one enemy at a time but you can also go Rambo too. The only problems I had were, the voices being too quiet or I can’t understand it, which made the story harder to follow. I couldn’t play multiplayer because I don’t know anybody who owns the game. It would of been nice if the game had single-card play. Nintendo WFC is the best part. There is not too much lag and finding a game kinda easy. When you respawn you can choose from any weapon, the only problem with that is people will spam the rockets, but when you are the host, you can change setting to turn off explosives.

There are 2 ways of controlling the game, stylus mode and button mode. I use stylus mode because the game seems more fun to play; I just had to change the sensitivity. Button mode just seems more cluttered with the controls

This game has it’s flaws and strengths but it is good. It is better than a lot of DS games. I would recommend this to any shooter fan, who wants a DS game.

Pokemon White part: 4

Pokemon: Black & White Launch

Today, I started out defeating the 6th gym. I continued the story, beat the 7th (Ice) gym in Icirrus City easily. continued the story a lot more, beat the 8th (Dragon) gym in Opelucid City. Now, I’m in Victory Road (I never liked those caves) and I realized that my Pokemon might be too weak. I have beaten games with weak Pokemon.

Sorry for the short post, I’ve been busy with the game.

Pokemon White part: 3

Well, today I think was better than yesterday. I started out training and searching for Emolga but I gave up. I decided to continue the story, then I got access to the 5th gym. When I entered the gym, I found out that it was ground type (Yes!!!). So, I used Dewott but when I beat a trainer in the gym, my Dewott evolved into a Samurott (Yes!!!). After I beat the gym, I continued the story again. Their was a big cave I had to get a cross, that helped with my training. I reached Mistralton City, where the 6th (flying) gym is. As I was exploring the city, I found this guy, that would trade me Emolga for Boldore (Yes!!!), I caught Boldore in the cave; I switch it and traded it. The Emolga was at level 30 with a good attack-set (Yes!!!) I trained it and then continued the story. I had to go up a big tower, that helped A LOT!!! Now I’m in the 6th gym and only training 3 Pokemon (

, Victini, and Emolga)  but they are strong.

Pokemon White part: 2

Well, today I wanted to get farther than I did. I beat the 3rd gym (Bug gym) really easy with my Victini and Pansear. As I was progressing through the story, I found out the 4th gym was electric. So I caught a Sandile (ground type) to use on the 4th; I barely

Image from Pokemon datebase

beat the 4th gym. That means my pokemon are weak and I need to train. I progressed the story a little and I’m in Driftveil City, that’s where the 5th Gym is. I went to train and caught a Vanillite, switched it with Pansear. Now, I’m training and looking for the rare Pokemon, Emolga.
