A Hat in Time

Today, I just found out about this future game that looks awesome. A Hat in Time is a 3D platformer that takes a lot of inspiration from Old Nintendo 64 games like Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, and Banjo Kazooie. I discovered this game too late, it was a KickStarter and it was only asking for $30,000, it reached $296,360. I would of loved  donating some money to this game and get a copy when it comes out. I’ve been look for a game like this for a long time. Seeing the gameplay, gets me even more hyped. It really looks like a beautiful game and amazing gameplay. With them reaching $296,360, the game is going be a big game, lasting from 10 to 20 hours. They even got Grant Kirkhope to do the music, he’s the guy who did the music for Banjo Kazooie. There will be Co-op too, which more 3D platformers need to have. The Co-op is the right type of Co-op where the characters don’t share a screen, it will have online co-op for PC, and split-screen for consoles(if they get there). They also want to release “A Hat in Time” for the Wii U, but they can’t promise that. I really hope this gets released on Wii U because Wii U needs more games like this.

I’m just really really hyped for the game. A Hat in Time is bringing back my childhood. The last good collect-a-thon I played was Psychonauts, most of it was good. That game brought back some good memories. Like I said before, the world needs more games like this. It is still currently in Steam Greenlight. Everyone needs to vote on this game so it gets on to steam. E3 2013 Predictions

E3 is real soon. It’s going to be a big one this year, with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 trying out sell each other. So, I’m gonna make some predictions like everybody else on the Internet. There won’t be any predictions of stuff that’s already confirmed to be there, like a new trailer for Smash Bros.

1. All Sixth Gen Revealed

Nintendo is having a live stream just for Pokemon news. I think in that time, they will show off all the new pokemon, and their typing, so the internet can finally shut up about Sylveon and Fennekin‘s evolutions.

2. New Banjo Kazooie Will Be Disappointing.

There is a new Banjo Kazooie game coming out for Xbox One. It’s called B-K GruntyLand. I can’t even tell if it’s a platformer game but hopefully it is. I just think with the latest reputation of Rare and Microsoft, it will look bad, and probably be someway money grabbing.

3. New Game From Retro Studios.

Retro is working on a new game for Wii U, and it seems to be a big one. I can’t tell what game it is, but it will probably make all the Nintendo Fanboys cry with joy.

4. Sony Will Reveal A New Game That Will Surprise Everybody.

I’m just getting a feeling from Sony, they have something up there sleeve. A reboot or just a new game that will look amazing. I can’t tell what it is yet.

5. There Will Be A New Pokemon MMO.

Lego City Undercover and Recording Console Gamplay

In the past week, I got Lego City Undercover and a capture card. Those 2 are a great combination. So, this week I’m showing a quality test video. I still need to work on the audio. Don’t worry, I’ll make a more “professional” video soon.

If want to share any criticism or tips on the video, feel free.

Miiverse on Web Browser

Nintendo had finally launched Miiverse on web browsers. This means you can get Miiverse on your computers, cell phones, tablets, or anything that has a web browser; this includes the 3DS. You can view posts, “yeah” posts, and leave comments. You cannot post, Private message(PM), and add friends. I do find it funny that you can report people instead. You can visit Miiverse at Miiverse.Nintendo.Net

I don’t like the current state it is in, you can’t really socialize as much. Yes you can add comments to posts, but that’s about it. They don’t have to add posting, but I would like to have messaging. If you are an artist on Miiverse, you can now go to the post with the art, copy it, then share it on any site. This also works with screen-shots.

That’s my favorite part, because I can now show off my BIG MASS OF CTHULHU!

EarthBound and Legend of Zelda: a Link to the Past 2

There was a new Nintendo Direct yesterday. They gave some new details to games that are coming out soon, like they always do. Nintendo always has 1 or 2 major announcements on these shows. This one didn’t disappoint.

Earthbound is finally coming to the American Virtual Console. This has been one of the most requested games to be released on American Virtual Console, Nintendo has finally listened to the fans via Miiverse. Thank You, Miiverse Miis. EarthBound will be released later this year for the American and European Wii U virtual Console.

Everybody’s favorite Nintendo announcements, A NEW ZELDA GAME! Nintendo has announced a squeal to the Classic SNES game, Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past 2 will be in same world from A Link to The Past, but it will have a new original story and dungeons. It will have a top down look, like in the original, but in 3D, to add hight and depth for puzzles. There is a Video on the 3DS e-Shop to see how the 3D visuals work. Legend of Zelda: a Link to the Past 2 will be released for 3DS by this holiday season.

What Miiverse REALLY is?

Nintendo has this social network on The Wii U called “Miiverse“. Each game/app has its own page called a Community. Gamers are suppose to help each other or talk about the game/app on these communities. Like most social networks, Miiverse has some problems and some good things about it.

When you make a post on Miiverse, instead of liking the post, people can “Yeah” the posts. There isn’t much of a difference, but a “yeah” is more about agreeing with the post. Some people loves these “yeahs”, it’s like they feed off of “yeahs”. These people are called “Yeah beggars” .The number of “yeahs” you get doesn’t mean anything, you don’t get any prize or get featured anywhere. It gets annoying when you see a post like “yeah if you are cool” on every community page. It also gets annoying when you see “is this game good” every third post. (I am guilty of this) If you want to know if a game is good, look up a review or just watch the community to see what people are saying about it.

With all the problems Miiverse has, it’s still is a great service. People actually use it to help each out. When people ask a question, they get multiple comments helping them. There are a lot of funny people on Miiverse, I usually laugh out loud when I read some of the posts on the communities. But what I think the best part of Miiverse, is the fan art. People can draw on their posts if they want to. They come up with these amazing pieces of art. Remember everyone can draw but you!

If you want to friend me on Miiverse, My Nintendo ID is SuperSmashKart. Just say you read my blog. 😀

Steam on Wii U

I have an major prediction; Valve will bring Steam on the Wii U. I predict this because Valve said they always liked Nintendo and Nintendo says their online would be done by third-party and would be flexible to accommodate game companies’ wants and needs for online. If Valve releases a game on the Wii U, they will have Steam with it, like Portal 2 for the Playstation 3. I Think if Valve releases a game for all major gaming systems(including PC), there will cross-platform multiplayer for PS3, PC, and Wii U.(My bad writing)

This would be great, there won’t be any problems(I think).

Wii U, Fake gameplay?!?!?

I just found out the trailer for the Wii U’s third party games were gameplay from Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. I’m not to happy about it because I thought the games will look like that but I don’t know anymore; I think Nintendo should be embarrass for this.  They did show the graphics with the graphics demo.

E3 2011: Day 2

Today was all about Nintendo! We got more looks at 3DS games, nothing bad their; Luigi’s Mansion 2, and multiplayer in Kid Icarus: Uprising.

The main part is the Wii U. When I first saw it, I was getting worried that it will just be a controller for the Wii, I was thinking there has to be a new console after they’re done showing the controller. Then I was the console by the TV stand, It got my hopes up. So, it’s a console for hardcore and casual gamers. Nintendo will get the sales that they got from the old Wii, for the most part.

My personal top picks for announcements are… Free Ledge of Zelda: 4 Swords, Rabbids for the Wii U, and… the best of them all… SUPER SMASH BROS for the Wii U and 3DS.
